August what?

We made it back from our week long vacation in New York yesterday afternoon.
It was a nice, but much too fast vacation. We were able to munch on buffalo wings (the real thing, thankyouverymuch)and curly fries --- items that only Western NY can master. We spent time laughing and reminiscing with family and friends. We *will* get back up there next year. The kids are already talking about more lake and sand time (I have to get the pictures up-loaded). We spent a day in my old town and I was transported back many many years. With the exception of a McDonald's and Burger King, the tiny village hasn't changed all that much. I was able to navigate the area with no problem, much to Jeff's dismay.

Instead of taking a few days off to recover from the whirlwind of activity (and 6 hour car trip with 6 kids)...we jumped right back into life today. Jeff was back to work bright and early. Poor guy. It is going to take 1 month to catch up on 1 week of vacation. Emily and Sarah were back to volleyball and/or gymnastics.

I look forward to getting back to on line journaling. Love and hugs to all!
::waving to New York family as they read this::::

Blessings to you.
