New Orleans

Once again, New Orleans is being flooded. Thanks to Hurricane Rita and already damaged levees, the city is being traumatized. Fortunately, human lives are out of harms way this time.

Is it time to say, "Thanks for the memories, New Orleans." and *not* rebuild?
Regardless of what they do, the area will be below sea level. There is no way to protect and/or hoist that much land out of the water.
It is just so sad. I know the answers are not easy to find.

The Texas Gulf Coast is in for a major test. Will that 15 foot, cement wall around Galveston protect and serve? What a horrid way to find out, huh?

Lord, have mercy on our land.
