I am feeling LOST

Jeff and I just finished the 2nd disc from season 1 of LOST. (we never watched it on TV)
My take on the show? It is a hyped up Gilligans Island cast - stranded in Jurassic Park.

Eh. Jeff seems to be hooked and vowed his undying love to Netflix once again.
Does it get better in Season 2?

I have no idea. I thought the whole "mysterious monster" plot was silly & never tuned back in. Sometimes I end up watching stuff I normally wouldn't because hubby's into it (Jackie Chan movies, for instance)... & vice versa. Guess it's all a part of love. :)

I was completely devoted to Lost during the first season. I stopped watching it about 3 shows into the second season because it was just getting to be too much. Too much mystery, not enough answers. Too much time wasted watching it.

I've thought about watching season 2 during the summer reruns, but I probably won't. Have you ever watched a show and just felt that it was a complete waste of time? That's how I felt after watching Lost. I felt like the payoff of being culturally in the know was not worth it.

I must be wrong, however, because tons of people love it!

I am the only person I know that doesn't love "LOST". I just wasn't into it even a little bit. Of course, I watch almost no TV anyway, just DVD's. And my dh doesn't watch TV as a rule, either.

But even my MOM and DAD are hooked on "Lost". Go figure!

I felt like I had wasted a lot of time on Survivor last season, because Aras won. I felt robbed.

I've been very loyal to my three must see's: Survivor, Amazing Race, and Lost.

I'm not a "Lost" fan but I know how y'all feel. I was robbed and let down last night in the last 5 minutes of the "24" season finale. Ugh!

I like your Gilligan's Island/Jurassic Park comparison.

There are only 3 shows we watch and Lost was not one of them - although it looks intriguing. I was thinking of getting it on DVD from Netflix as well to see if it'd be worth watching since one of the three shows we watch was cut. I'm with Dan though...now I have to wait until next May to hope Jack Bauer has a better ending!

Oh Kim you are SO not alone!! lol That show lost me the first episode. I am not a huge TV viewer as it is and only have a couple favs. Now that AI and Survivor are over I think I only have House MD to look forward too:-)

The mysterious monster thing is gone. I think the writers realized how "off" it was so they just stopped writing about it.

I love Lost, it's my weekly guilty (or not so guilty) pleasure. In fact, it's the only show I allow myself to be hooked on, nope, there is not one redeeming quality to the show, but I can get lost in it and just have an hour of down time a week...so I do.
